We bid out our total Kitchen remodel with 7 different contractors. Each had their own good points, but Steven checked all the boxes. He was incredibly patient when we explored different configurations and made numerous changes to the scope of work. He never hurried us through a decision and provided incredible guidance based on his extensive experience. We have been through numerous renovations, and we were used to being "surprised" by the end of the job change orders. Not so with Steven. We were surprised by the lack of change orders. We renovated our 1920’s era brownstone condo kitchen and bathroom. Also, we added a laundry and converted the dining room to a library. Completing this project during COVID was a huge challenge with supply chain issues and the renovation boom. This was our first renovation and we talked to 12+ contractors before choosing Steve. We completely remodeled our kitchen. The vinyl floor in our kitchen and family room was replaced with prefinished oak flooring. All the kitchen cabinets were replaced and an island added. Fantasy brown granite was used for the island top and black pearl granite for the counter tops and backsplash. We had extra fantasy brown granite so we used it to replace the upstairs bathroom counter, an added project. The house electrical system was upgraded as was some of the plumbing. When we started, Steve Jackson, the main contractor, gave us an excellent rendering of what the new kitchen would look like. He listened well to what we wanted and suggested some great things that we had not thought of. He was very careful to do things right and accurately.
